It's easy to feel righteous when you label everyone to the right of you a Nazi, including anybody conservative. Or even anybody to the left of your extreme centrist consensus.

You can then follow Nazi methodologies yourself (censorship, state sponsored propaganda, banning political parties, imprisoning for tweets, de-platforming, un-personing) with good conscience.

Based on your critieria, you'd have called "Nazi" the huge majority of those actually fighting the Nazis in 1939-1945 - their opinions were way more consevative than your opponents today. But of course then people weren't stupid enough to call anybody convervative a "fascist". That's a 60s and later development.

European-American culture. You know, the thing you take for granted that gave you the right to mouth off like an idiot without going to prison.

Your perverse anti-nazi pose is utterly transparent. Across Europe they are embracing your views and jailing anyone who speaks out against mass-migration. You may think "we're all the same" but it's our right to thing we're not and to vote to stop mass-migration. You know, the thing no one voted for but we got anyway and voted to stop the minute we got the chance.

That doesn't make us "nazis". Are the Chinese nazis? Are Pakistanis? Indians? South-African blacks? They all prefer their own cultures just like everyone else. But the minute European-Americans claim our preference we're "nazis".

Pathetic.

We have the right to limit immigration. It's one of the fundamental rights and responsibilities of a nation-state. Move to Somalia or India if you love those cultures. You don't have the right to override our democratic choices asshole.

Expand full comment
Steve's avatar

Calling it 'European-American culture' is dressing it up bud, anyone with half a brain sees through that. This country was founded by immigrants fleeing prosecution and was built into what it is today thanks to the millions of immigrants that have arrived on our shores since then. Just because you lunatics don't like people with different color skin doesn't mean the rest of the world has to.

Of course we can limit migration, that's not what this post is saying. The point of this idiotic post is that this administration is mad that European countries aren't falling in line with this administration's policies, casting them under the guise of free speech and migration.

Are you being purposefully obtuse or have you just bought the whole schtick?

Expand full comment
Peebo Preboskenes's avatar

This post is directed against mass immigration and jailing citizens for complaining about it. You're reading into it because you and the Democrats have embraced the all-too-convenient and dishonest position that everyone who disagrees with you is a nazi.

And the word is persecution not prosecution. If you think the immigrants flooding into Europe and the US are fleeing persecution you're misinformed. They show up to suck off our welfare states and the minute we stop paying them they leave (take a look at the soft remigration taking place in Denmark and Sweden right now). That's not how or why my ancestors came here. And when they came it was a one way trip. They came here to become Americans. Not to suck off our tax-base, send money abroad and travel home every year.

You can pretend all day that current immigration is just the same as in the past but you're just sticking your head in the sand and hoping for the best. And it's convenient for you to assume we "hate brown people" but who we really hate is traitors like you who sell out your own country in exchange for a false sense of virtue.

But Trump sending Sam here, and 4 sidekicks to London to make sure that the UK was following “freedom of speech” rules is simply rude and rather stupid. What would the US do to 5 foreigners who dropped in to opine on gun use, for instance?

Rubio: “Today,(3 days ago) I am announcing a new visa restriction policy that will apply to foreign officials and persons who are complicit in censoring Americans.” Because should anyone in the EU or the UK take issue with some of the disgusting, hateful, inciteful, horrid, insulting, false and misleading things that spew out of American social media... well, they just shouldn’t, should they? They should just suck it up. They are using American apps, right?

Maybe Europe should just take all of its younger siblings’ scoldings to heart. Just behave as Vance, Miller, Sam, RFKjr, etc, etc, tell them to behave because the USA does everything perfectly properly. Nothing to see here. And maybe, just maybe, they’ll get a deal on their tariffs.

12,000 citizens arrested for mean social media posts in thr UK is not the same as deporting a few non citizens for supporting terrorist organizations. Every country restricts foreigners; in my current country I can barely use a bank account as a foreigner (daily usage limits etc), have restricted speech, must report my residence within 30 days, etc - yet most freedom rankings put my resident country ahead of the USA.

I also believe treating foreigners and citizens differently is silly, but putting an equivalence between what the Trump administration is doing and what is happening in some European countries is patently ridiculous. Most people believe its OK to restrict foreigners rights, and less than 10 speech related deportation is several orders of magnituted less than 12,000.

The invaders are mainly invited here and hold rights of residence. Overwhelming majority in fact. This is the UK l should add & I will not comment on the US because l haven’t seen the breakdowns. Some 60,000 arrive illegally. That has to set against a population of over 60 millions. So we outnumber the ‘invaders’. Of these 60,000 a proportion are escaping persecution and it is impractical to return them - Iranian Afghan etc. Even if those countries agreed, they might be simply shot on arrival. The US deportation programs are yet to make significant progress and over here, we will watch with interest their progress and methodology. Immigration is a complex issue and at its heart is the relative success of our respective countries that appeals to migrants. frankly l would do the same if l lived in some of the places and if l succeeded, l would try and make a positive contribution to my new home. Indeed l live in UK and France. As a Brit l am enormously grateful to the French people to extend the right to live in their country ( partially) and try and make a humble contribution to its success. The French seem not to regard me as an invader and are on the whole very welcoming, as long as l speak some French, even badly! I also have noted that over 30 years the French do things better than we do and l like a lot of their culture. Equally the Brits are on top on others. So l see this form of personal invasion being very positive and multicultural exchange beneficial to countries generally . So while agreeing that unfettered and uncontrolled immigration is dangerous, l do see the benefits. So we need to be careful not to throw out the proverbial baby with the bath water.

Invited by who??? Globalist controlled politicians, NGOs and lobbies? The native citizens overwhelmingly prefer their own kind and resent these foreigners flooding in without their consent. This is why far right parties are rising rapidly, as well as Brexit etc. this is why governments are cracking down on free speech, because most people will use it to oppose their immigration policies. The governments of Europe at the moment don’t represent popular opinion, no one voted on mass migration.

As far as refugees being shot in their own countries, let them. Their countries failure doesn’t entitle them to live in the west. Not only this, but they tend to skip over many safe enough countries along the way to the west in order to get taxpayer benefits. This is insane and unjustifiable. Lucy Connolly had every right to say what she did, her country is being dismantled by rich elites via mass migration and she’s being taxed to support her own replacement. She is brave and strong, not out of line. Tommy Robinson is a hero for England, one of its last warriors defending English soil, sadly. But most states don't have the will to really push back because they're bribed with federal "aid", which reflects centralized power that the founders wanted to avoid. Federal overreach is wrong no matter who is in the White House. The feds have no authority to be giving away any money to any entity.

It doesn't matter which state we live in, all states can use Nullification (Article 6) in the Constitution to refute unconstitutional federal laws & "mandates". Follow the money and we'll find out why most don't use that tool.

BTW I stopped watching corporate media a few years ago.

FEMA and other government agencies don't work for us anymore, only the elites. Covid exposed that lie, and I don't want my taxpayer money serving the interests of the ruling class.

The founders were against foreign entanglements, meaning foreign "aid" and pre-emptive wars...noninterventionism (not isolationist) means we can still trade with other nations. Tariffs used properly are in the Constitution; federal income tax was not, until 1913 when Congress in it's infinite wisdom decided to give us the 16th Amendment, 17th Amendment and the Federal Reserve Act. What a terrible year that was for our country!

Our debt-based financial slavery system through a central bank (one of the 10 planks of Communism) is used to decimate the middle class, with the goal of making us all dependent on the "state". Between inflation and taxes, it's more difficult to own property and to be self-reliant. It's all by design.

And there's nothing beautiful about a big bill; these "Omnibus" bills (used by all parties) are not the way the founders intended for Congress to legislate. Politicians complaining about a "Constitutional crisis" are part of the problem; just look at their voting records (only 32% of Congress votes consistently with Constitutional principles). Every state needs a Thomas Massie...his Congressional scorecard is at 99% (an A plus!). Party doesn't matter, since "F" scores appear across the political spectrum. FYI, go to thefreedomindex.org if you'd like to see your state and federal legislators' scorecards. There are other scoring websites but that's the one I use. An informed electorate is the best way to guide this country to timeless principles; politicians aren't going to "save us".

"Most people" doesn't make it right. Our country wasn't set up as a democracy where "most people (51%)" get to tell the rest of us (49%) what to do, just because they can. The globalists love to take advantage of the low information voter, who doesn't know the true intentions of the UN, which means that we must educate ourselves. Just go to their website and read their Charter, Declaration of Human Rights and 17 Sustainable Dev Goals (if you can get through the word salad). They believe that total world government is the solution, and have no regard for the rule of law (Republic) and natural human rights, making us all slaves. Globalists want total control and to be the grantor of human rights, as long you don't oppose them (their "rights" are actually "privileges"). None of this has changed since the 1950's, so the JBS has been right about this all along (despite all the usual criticisms). It's not a good idea to be getting our "news" from corporations controlled by collectivists. I only found JBS during Covid because they were one of the few voices that made any sense; I knew something was terribly wrong by the end of the summer of 2020.

I understand enough, living in a state that votes Republican, knowing republicans, having Republican family members, and having run for office myself. I know that the right is a party of control and conformity, traditional gender roles, fear of those who live and think unlike themselves that would “dilute” their “heritage”…. Unfortunately, it sees the natural evolution of a country built on diversity and immigration as a threat to its predominately white/european identity. It is afraid to evolve and share power with women and poc, so is fighting to take us back to days past when diversity was hidden, women were not leaders, and people were afraid to embrace difference. As a mother of daughters and friend to children of immigrants I’m not standing by and letting power-hungry white men take my country that I wore a uniform for backward in time, because I know what’s back there for women and minorities. ✌️

The latest Eurobarometer survey released today reveals the highest level of trust in the EU in 18 years and the highest-ever support for the euro. In the current geopolitical context, Europeans would also like to see a stronger and more assertive EU through a common defence and security policy, while peace remains the value that best represents the EU.

Globalist elites love to start wars (or at least encourage them) in order to provide a pretext for more power to them and less power to the people. The Patriot Act was at the ready well before 9/11. A "conservative" group, the PNAC, wrote in 2000 that we need another "Pearl Harbor event"; that was not a coincidence! We Americans were suckers to fall for that Act, which keeps getting extended by power hungry politicians; that kind of unconstitutional legislation needs to be axed. It’s obvious that Europe’s enemies (Russia, China, MAGA, US corporate interests) would like nothing more than to destroy the EU so they could divide and rule the nation states on the subcontinent.

The EU allows the peoples of Europe to be much than the sum of its parts.

In a world where there is a USA, a China and a Russia, there must also be an EU.

Hmm, the Teddy Roosevelt who championed the progressive cause in his last campaign? I think not. Your America is the xenophobic, eugenicist one best characterized by historical blindness, greed-worship, and a fascination with dictators. In its bones has always been the potential to live up to its ideals, and at times it has. However, venerating those moments in which it's made progress while simultaneously using those instances of transcendence to reassure itself while sliding into utter immorality only highlights its gift for hypocrisy. A Nation of Laws...enforced selectively. A Nation of Ideals...applied selectively. A Nation of Opportunity...provided selectively. A Nation of God...defined and weaponized selectively.

Teddy R was progressive in the sense that he wanted safe public transport and beautiful national parks for patriotic, intact families to enjoy. Okay, in MY bones I believe America took a wrong term taking over from the Brits and assuming the job of running the world. And handing out development programs and medical and food aid is nice and generous if it is run pragmatically. If it comes with activism and the programs get so big they give our military leaders naive ideas that other countries are just like us and need “their 1776 moment” then those connections are bad.

I don't want to live in a world where Russia and China run the world. That's what will happen if we step back, and it will be a far worse world. We don't need to go as far as Reagan did, but belief in trying to be, with other nations as willing, the shining city on the hill that provides as needed the arsenal of democracy, not in an aggressive way but in a way that patiently leads by example and defends international norms?
